The Film Club is a streaming platform created to present films that are not available elsewhere to the Italian audience (with geoblocking for Italy), thereby preserving the memory of cinema.

With a vast catalog and weekly updates, the service ensures its audience a wide selection of titles and entertainment. In addition to titles from the Minerva Pictures Group, creator of the project, viewers can now find series from La7, Feltrinelli, and Cecchi Gori Home Entertainment.

Among the titles, you can find classics with Alberto Sordi, such as Il Marchese del Grillo, the series Victoria, and all the b-movies Sharknado produced by The Asylum. A catalog that fully meets the entertainment needs of the entire family.

The SVOD Model

The SVOD business model is a Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) platform with an important difference compared to its competitors: users can choose from various available subscriptions, but these are divided based on selectable channels.

This division into channels, following a system optimized for the user experience, was an interesting customization developed on the VODEVO platform, on which the entire system is built.

The various subscriptions – as with major OTT platforms (Netflix, Paramount+, Disney Plus, etc.) – can be purchased only via desktop, through a dedicated page that users can easily access.

Once the subscription is obtained, the user can access the area with all the films available for the type of subscription chosen. The more subscriptions they purchase, the more content they can watch, with no limits.

The backend has a state-of-the-art system for analyzing user-generated data. Viewing minutes, most popular category, top 10 most-watched films, and the most purchased channel are all data stored in our databases and used to create a better experience for the subscriber.

All technical management of the software and hardware is handled by Vodevolution on a daily basis, and the duty list also includes customer service for both subscribers and non-subscribers.

From the hardware perspective, the channel is equipped with unlimited bandwidth and storage provided directly by us, along with a load balancer to handle traffic peaks.
